Help with rash or skin irritation please?

For mths now i have had irritated skin -really it is not a rash-i dont know what to call it, but it is like the skin is raw it is bright red and hurts-when i say for mths i dont mean consectively -it clears up for a couple weeks then comes back.

It is right at the top of the tailbone and a bit lower . i have used cortizone creams and benedry cream, anything else i can use that may work better? thank you

Help with rash or skin irritation please?
ok this sounds weird and gross but i had a bad reaction to deodarant and it caused a really really really bad rash under my arm pits and it itched and burned really bad . i used cortizone cream, neosporin, benadryl, lanaseptic cream, calamine lotion and NONE of it worked at al for me. so one of the nurses at work told me to use microbenzol its a yeast infection cream same thing as monistat and i was like um ok... i kid you not, that rash was pretty much almost gone 1 day after i applied it. it has an anti-fungal in it that cures infections and things, and it really helps the itching. i highly recommend it
Reply:I think I've had that before. It was caused by jeans. But. it shouldn't be bothering you this much. I think you should get it checked out from a Primary Physician or Dermatologist.
Reply:sounds like a bad case of cranky crack
Reply:I think you should see a doctor. What you are describing may be a pylonidal cyst. If so it needs professional treatment. It's clear that at-home treatments aren't working, so please get it checked out!!

Best of luck.
Reply:I think you should stop scratching it if you are, and tell your doctor about it.try to stop moving that place too. it might be because your white cells are fighting bacteria or something... I hope Your skin problem goes away soon!
Reply:If you think the creams help at all visit a dermatologist. They prescribe hydrocortisone creams that are MUCH stronger than the ones at the drugstore. Also I'd research ezcema and psoriasis at webmd or somewhere to see if that looks like what you're dealing with.

Also make sure you're not wearing something that could be a material that is irritating you right there, or causing chafing.
