Dry skin/shaving?

Particularly in the winter, my skin gets pretty dry. Unfortunately my hair grows quick so I have to shave practically everyday. The shaving cream is really uncomfortable and dries me out even more. Any suggestions here?

Dry skin/shaving?
"Edge" shaving gel has many formulas but you need to use "Edge" with Vitamin E or "Edge" with Mosturizer. It is a concentrated gel so release only a little. I have been an "Edge" user for 20 years and highly approve.

Gillette recently released its new Hydra Gel that moisturizes as well. It is about $1.20 more than "Edge", but a good product as well. Sundays newspaper usually has an "Edge" coupon for approx. .75 cents.

After shaving always use a lotion like Vaseline "Healthy Body Complexion". This will also keep you looking younger as well. A lot of these after shave lotions are formulated to relieve irritation and may actually dry your skin.

Take a good multi-vitamin and buy additional Vitamin E, take both daily.

I turned 50 this year but with many years of using lotions, taking vitamins, and "Edge" cream most think I am 42 max. I am a true believer in exercise as well to help the body provide for itself in many ways.

Women love a man with good, smooth skin as well.
Reply:use like moisturizer daily and your skin wont be so dry.
Reply:Use a moisturiser or gel
Reply:if you use a acne treatment plan then this will interfere but if you don't clean and clear moisturizer is really good it shows improvement in the first few days
Reply:Grow a beard!!! They're hot.

What is the treatment for cracks and fissures in the skin ? how can they be removed & what causes them ?

unfortunatly i have cracks and fissures in the skin on the head of my penis and theyve become more pronounced. there like little openings is the skin....where normally, the skin on the penis head would be smooth.

it seems to function normally down below.....and i dont itch except for a jock itch here and there.

the doctor said when he examined that it is unusual but not abnormal....he said he would find out more but wouldnt refer me at this time.....he also didnt think it was a skin disorder like lichen sclerosis or balantis....but he wasnt sure.

i have another appointment to see him after xmas.

i suggested canisten cream, he perscribed it, but it hasnt helped or cleared up the cracks or fissures.

im starting to get anxious about this now and what it could be....and how the cracks and fissures in my skin can be cleared so i have smooth skin again.

can anyone advise ?

What is the treatment for cracks and fissures in the skin ? how can they be removed %26amp; what causes them ?
Go see a doctor, yahoo answers may help, but it can't replace a medical professional.

Skin problem?

overall, i have good skin. its not too dry and not too oily. occasionally i get the pimple or a dry patch, but its pretty good. except my nose. my nose is dry, but i also have little red bumps that often times turn into pimples. i went to cleanandclear.com and it said i should use the following:

Deep Action Cream Cleanser

Deep Cleaning Astringent

Dual Action Moisturizer

in that order.does that sound right? i heard if you don't wash your face everyday you could break out even worse. my nose is just my main problem though. any estimate of how much these products will cost?

Skin problem?
i'm not sure about your skin type, but for me, washing only ONCE a day helps, because if I wash twice a day, it becomes super dry. i don't think all of those 3 products would work. it might be too strong, and make your skin peel. note the words DEEP, DEEP and DUAL ACTION.

you should try the deep action cream cleanser and the dual action moisturizer. toner doesn't do much except clean. i think if you buy all 3, it will cost around 9 or 10 dollars.

Can I use hair removing cream on my upper lip?

I have slight hair on my upper lip and I am so embarrased of it can i use any kind of hair removing cream that I can use to remove it all and it won't make my skin black

Can I use hair removing cream on my upper lip?
If you use a depilaroty (hair removing cream) make sure it's formulated for use on your face. I know Sally Hansen makes one, but there are a lot more out there. Just stop by Target, Rite Aid, or Wal Mart.
Reply:Use Lazer removal. You can go to your doctor and get it off with lazers.
Reply:There is one made especially for the upper lip.
Reply:i would do laser hair removal...but i have seen stuff just for upper lips (walmart) but ive never tried them
Reply:Avon has a pen for hair removel, works great..goodluck
Reply:i have the same exact problem too =/ it's pretty embarrsing. If i were you i would go to CVS or something and get bleaching cream made especially for upper lips.
Reply:I use surgi - cream put a little on wait 4 mins wash off with cool water and done ...my face is sensitive to everything I usually do it hours or even a night before then use a alcohol free moisturizer

or sit in my house with a frozen bag of peas so it doesn't hurt ...lol

I even use it on my eyebrows as well
Reply:The don't make your skin black. Look at the pharmacy for the creme for the hair for the lip. They also have a hair inhibiter that keeps the hair from growing back as fast, a hormone though I don't know if it is over the counter or Dr. ordered, ask the pharmacist. They also sell a bleach that is for the upper lip that makes the hair less noticeable. Be careful with chemicals and do exactly as directed.
Reply:you can always buy some hair bleach. i use sally hansen's its for face arms and legs. it works great. i also have sensitive skin but it worsk nicely it dosnt give me a rash or anthing. hair remover may make the hairs grow back facster and darker. but if you bleach it you can hardly see them!
Reply:i get my upper lip threaded. they use a piece of string and make it os it takes away the hairs. it is easy and almost painless.
Reply:i would suggest that you get a wax because hair removing cream make that area dark. so dint ,esp don't use Nair or if you dint have time to go and get a wax just go to any drug store and buy veet wax strips they come in this yellow box and there really easy to use, and the wax is already on the strips.
Reply:u can buy a nare specially made for your upper lip
Reply:I use Sally Hansen facial hair remover wand and I love it! I think the cream is a good alternative to surgery or waxing. No pain.
Reply:Try Sally Hanson facail hair removing cream. You only have to do it about once or twice a week and it only takes about 5-10 minutes... and it doesn't hurt!! If you have dark hair though, you might have to bleach it.
Reply:A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt
Reply:I would say u could. Its hair right so whats the difference between on ur head and on ur upper lip.

Yeah I have boiled down this rash on my face to UV waves put out from my computer.I've tried to figure where I was getting this red rash and itching on my face and it was driving me crazy.I thought of every kind of allergy from soap to medication. I had a feeling about the light from my computer but didn't do anything about it until today. Before I sat down I put on sun block,I will let you know how that works in a few days.

Help removing blackheads and other skin perfections on delicate skin?

I have a lot of product, and I'll put a list below just for a general idea. I'm really trying to get rid of all my blackheads -- and I have a ton -- before school starts this September. I've tried pinching and squeezing them after steaming my face, I've tried blackhead removers, to no avail. I need some kind of ingenious way to get rid of my blackheads and prevent other skin imperfections. I drink lots of water a day to help keep my skin healthy. Here's what I already use:

- Garneir Detoxifyer

- Biore Blackhead Removing Treatment

- Clean %26amp; Clear Morning Burst Exfolient

- Pond's Cold Cream

- Astringent

Help removing blackheads and other skin perfections on delicate skin?
Plain old lemon juice, just rub some lemon juice on the affected area, and let sit about 10-20Min's and wash off, you can rub an ice cub on your face after if you'd like, that'll also help and save you some money

*Good Luck*
Reply:noxema works really good on delicate skin with blackheads and pimples
Reply:I use hot water, then clean %26amp; clear cleaning astringent, then hot water again, and repeat it a few times.

And sometimes I use the biore blackhead strips after steaming my face, that helps a lot.
Reply:Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate!!! Its time to whip out nuetrogena washes[better for delicate skin], but not the nuetrogena oil-free wash! Wash morning and night but only moisturize at night. Oh and try to do yoga or something that puts you at peace, stress makes more blackheads and zits!!! Yikes!!!
Reply:Simple skin care regimen that works:

Morning -

1. Clearskin's Blackhead Clearing Cleanser

2. Anew Clinical Micro-exfoliant

3. Clearskin's Purifying Astringent Blackhead Clearing

4. True Pore-Fection Oil-Free Skin Clearing Lotion

Night-

2. Clearskin's Purifying Astringent Blackhead Clearing

3. Anew Clinical Retexturizing Peel

4. True Pore-Fection Oil-Free Skin Clearing Lotion

There's a sale going on now. Best part is you can return it for your money back if it doesn't suit your specific skin and hormones.

Skin lightening problem?

hey,

i wanna lightened my face skin by three shades.... i use to have it light...but played outside too much...

Does anyone know a lightening cream that is in stores not online?

Skin lightening problem?
WHATS WRONG WITH HAVING DARK SKIN?!?!

and what classifies as three shades? you aint a dulux paint you know....

Appreciate ur skin the way u are, and get ova that dumb complex...uve been brain washd to think that lighter skin looks better and is more acceptable... and call me up tight, but i actually take offence to this question..

Plus if u just played out side to much then its just a tan and it will fade... DUH
Reply:Don't talk so wet! There are people who would love to tan so easily.
Reply:lighening skin can have really bad effects so dont do it. be happy as you are.
Reply:okay..i love having a tan..it makes my skin look more healthy..and just radiant

but to answer you question, lemon juice will lighten your skin color...i use it sometimes to lighten my hair
Reply:Go back indoors! YOu cant lighten your skin unless you use harsh chemicals and they will age you. Trust me, its not a good solution.
Reply:nothing wrong with having a a darker complexion, you will ruin the quality of your skin my trying to lighten it.stop trying to pander to what is seen as attractive in the western world, real men like real women, not ones trying to be something they are not.
Reply:You can ask your dermatologist for a prescription skin lightening gel, but those use chemicals that can be harsh on your skin.

As a long term, natural solution you can try Eminence Organic Skin Care -- any of the "Stone Crop" products. (Stone Crop is a succulent with natural skin lightening abilities.)

They have everything from moisturizers to gels, depending on your skin type. You can buy it at spas or online.

Hope that helps!
Reply:Try going to an asian cosmetics beauty store, they often carry skincare lines just for lightening skin.
Reply:don't be silly appreciate your skin whatever colour it is. the colour is not important but keeping it well moisturised, etc so it looks glowing is the important thing.

WHAT TO DO ABoUT RAW SKIN? WHAT SHOULD I PUT ON IT?
I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see if it is ok to put triple antibiotic ointment on the area to help it heal faster. Also, ask about Vitamin E oil. Sometimes that can be helpful to healing.

Dry and scaly skin on baby..wht to do?

a few days back, i started using johnson's baby oil on my one month old baby after giving him his daily bath..since then i have noticed tht his skin, specially ard his legs, arms n neck has become very dry..i m using eucerin cream on him in the morning but it is not helping..

he also has a very scaly scalp which doesnt seem to be getting better at all..apart frm being scaly (dandruff), his scalp seems to be oozing something tht dries up to become yellow blobs..

pls tell me wht to do

Dry and scaly skin on baby..wht to do?
the stuff on his head is called cradle cap, its caused by an over production of the oil that coats our hair. there is some over the counter stuff that you can find in the baby section at pretty much any store (walmart, walgreens) the scaly skin might be a reaction to the oil. try switching to another baby lotion. my son had kind of scaly almost gritty feeling skin when he was a baby and the doctor told me that it was baby eczema and to use DOVE soap instead of baby wash
Reply:call the doc ASAP your babys getting dry skin or eczsma and the scalp is cradle cap he has a infection and the oozy stuff is puss...
Reply:My baby is 7 months old and I'm having a really hard time with him skin being so dry too. We just took him to the pediatrician last week and was told to use Vaseline on the hands and Triamcinolone 0.1% on the spots that were extremely dry and scaly. I was then told to use Aveeno 1% Hydrocortisone creme. I have also made an appointment with a dermatologist.
Reply:First of all, a daily bath? For a 4 week old. Stop doing that. Is it hot where you are? If so, then maybe a bath 4 times a week, but if it is cold, then only get his bottom wet to clean with soap, but not his whole body. That is too much. I mean, does he really get THAT dirty? Second, he won't need a cream or anything. It will go away naturally. Third, if his scalp is oozing "stuff", then you need to call the doctor.
Reply:you might look for a hypoallergenic lotion and body wash until you can rule out allergies. Some hypoallergenic lotions that work beautifully for my son are cetaphil and CeraVe...they can both be found at walgreens.
Reply:i agree with another poster. a daily bath is too much. that might be causing the dry skin. but you should ask your doctor. it may be eczema and need a prescription creme.
Reply:-No more baby oil all over the body.

-No more daily baths, every 3rd day is fine. If you start having to do the emergency dunk in the tub because of poopy diaper blow outs more than once a week, it's time to move up a size in diapers. (you'll know, the blowout will happen with every poopy diaper you don't catch right away) Urine is sterile so you can just dry baby and change clothes if he does a golden shower.

-Put a humidifier in babies room (or wherever he sleeps).

-Get an actual baby moisturizer to use once a day on baby if you live in a home with forced air heating or cooling and it's being used right now. If not, use the moisturizer only after the bath.

-Use the baby oil on the scalp - massage a liberal amount onto the cradle cap and let sit for 15-20 minutes then wash out with baby shampoo. Make sure to thoroughly rinse babies hair (use fresh water, not bath water). Brush or rub the cradle cap gently to remove what comes off easily, repeat for each bath (it took 3 times for it to come off my son).

Changes in diet can also cause changes with skin. If you recently switched formula you will just have to give it time to sort itself out. If you are breastfeeding and have an abundance of stored breastmilk you can actually use that as a moisturizer (Grandma's wisdom, didn't get the chance to try that with my guy)

Don't use baby wipes on anything other than the babies bum - different types of skin and the face does not handle baby wipes very well. If you want convenient wipes, find the ones made specifically for baby's face. Learned the hard way (poor guy, I felt so bad that I caused his dry skin on his face)

If you take baby out in the cold (anything below freezing), put some Vaseline on any exposed skin (you only need a very thin layer). It won't hurt them to ingest it (although they will poop good if they get a fair bit) and it will protect skin from wind burn and from drool freezing directly on baby's skin. (I live where the temp can hit -20 with wind chill and we still have to live life, Vaseline is amazing)
Reply:Im going through the EXACT same thing only mines 2 mths old. I will be honest I've tried baby oil, Johnsons baby lotion, Johnsons baby oil, johnsons creamy baby oil, johnsons night time lotion, parents choice baby lotion, aveeno baby lotion, exzema (sp?) baby lotion, Aqauphor, and Lubriderm intense. Plus a humidifier and I cut her baths down to once every three days. The baths helped the minor regular ashy skins areas but the itchy rough scratchy awful places NOTHING is helping and that includes the cradle cap. The best thing Ive done for cradle cap is taking her baby brush and (not using a whole lot a pressure) scrubbing it in the opposite direction of the flakes then dust them off. BUT dont do it to the sore places it makes them bleed. Just leave them alone, my baby's goes away when they heal. God Ive ranted but maybe Ive helped you some. Ive just been VERY stressed about this too and the Dr. wont do anything to help her.

Is there an easy affordable to pamper skin?

My skin is well white and I want to make a mask or put on some cream or something to make it more beautiful or healthy I can't tell wether my skin is dry or oily so I can't give you that detail. But I can say i'm thinking of getting a slight tan soon, that wouldn't affect anything would it?

So is there some kinda of mask or something I can use.

Oh yeah and is it true that cucomber helps get rid of bags under your eyes?

Is there an easy affordable to pamper skin?
An inexpensive mask is to apply mashed avocado to your skin, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse off first with lukewarm, then cool water. Avocado is quite oily so if you suffer from spots you could avoid putting it on those areas. Cucumber does not get rid of bags but it does refresh the eye area, as do used cooled teabags.
Reply:this is what I use and it always relieves my stress afterwards I guess because of the cucumber melon fragrance. Thoroughly cleanse and refresh your skin with this oil-free mineral clay masque. It opens pores and draws out excess oil to help control oil and shine. Scented with a refreshing honeydew-blossom fragrance. Use as needed, 1-3 times per week. Ideal for normal-to-oily skin. http://cgarcia1.qbeautyzone.com/search/d...

and also this to take away dead skin cells and the lotion they provide makes your skin feel really soft afterwards http://cgarcia1.qbeautyzone.com/products...

The Artistry Microdermabrasion System offers an at-home alternative to microdermabrasion, providing professional-grade results and glowing skin. It consists of Artistry Polishing Scrub, Skin Refinishing Lotion, and the MicroExfoliation Cloth at no cost.

A good makeup for my skin?

Hello again! As I continue for my perfect makeup search, I was wondering if you could help find a good makeup brand or makeup that works with my skin problems. I have sensitive skin, combination skin, not so much acne, but enough to be VERY noticiable, and I am asian. I'm currently looking for a foundation: stick, liquid, cream, or powder, concealer: liquid or stick, and powder. Mineral makeup is ok too. I hope that the makeup won't actually make my acne more noticiable at the end of the day. Hopefully it will be inexpensive, and will be able to be bought at Walgreens, CVS, Longs Drugs, etc.. Please respond quickly!

Thanks ^_^

A good makeup for my skin?
Another suggestion besides Bare Minerals, is Everyday Minerals. It is another type of mineral makeup. You can order a sample pack and just pay for shipping. That way you can test it out, and see if you like it, and the coverage it provides.

I have used Bare Minerals in the past, and am currently using Everyday Minerals, and think they're comparatively similar.
Reply:neutrogina
Reply:neutragena will be good or there is a reallllly good make up called Tarah but you have to order it online or something. but it is really good.
Reply:Well, since you have combination skin, I really reccomend you use Lancome combination skin foundation. They will sample it on your face and you can choose the one you like! It looks really natural and beautiful! So, good luck!!! :D

Reply:sephora has a really good sunscreen tinted moisturizer...

you're better off not getting the thick crappy kind @ pharmacy's because they are oily and gross!

try this:http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh...

it's Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15

Our oil-free tinted moisturizer goes on sheer, with just enough coverage to enhance your complexion, without feeling like you're wearing a mask. The natural, satin finish is infused with vitamins A, C, and E, plus a protective SPF 15 - it's all you need to face the day, beautifully.

remember....you get what you pay for!

good luck!
Reply:Bare Minerals, Sheer Cover, or Clinique are all good.
Reply:well i just know a really good make up and will help you with your acne it is really good but you have to order because it is not in stores its name is sherrcover it is made up of minerals you can check it out in this Web go to sherrcover.com and you will find more about it.
Reply:Bare essentials is wonderful makeup. It gives great coverage, and makes your skin look flawless! Plus you'll never see the line of demarkation. Finish it off with their mineral vail for the perfect airbrushed look. When I started using it a couple of years ago, all my friends noticed something really healthy looking about me. When I told them what it was they all started wearing it to. Give it a try!
Reply:I agree with the person above me.

IT IS GREAT!
Reply:My skin is very sensitive and I also have a skin condition called roseca which can be very enbarassing. I use a make product called Minerelles Cosmetic Line:Natural looking;blendable;flattering to every complexion;luminous;weightless;mosturizi... cake or build up. Provides sheer, even coverage and radiant, long lasting color.Provides protection against the environment. Allow your skin to breath.Defends against UV-induced collagen breakdown.Dermatologist tested.

Hypoallergenic;fragrance free; talc free (contain no fillers); non-comedogenic (won't clog pores); formulated with triple-patented Vital Repair
Reply:I think I've found something better than even the bare minerals stuff.. my sister's store had a fire so she got me osme of the makeup thats packaging has been broken. Okay so Covergirl Advanced Radiance the cream foundation is absolutely amazing!!! Put it on all over and then set with a powder. Only problem, if any, is by the end of the day my skin is a bit more shiney than without, but get some good cornsilk and clean and clear blotting sheets and it's no problem at all. I think the foundation is for people with wrinkles, so it works wonders on young people !
Reply:If you have very sensitive skin don't even waste your money on Bare Minerals! I tried it and broke out in a horrible rash! I use Mineral Girlz. It does not contain bismuth or talc like other mineral makeup brands do. To take the guess work out of what color eyeshadow, blush and lip gloss will look good with your skin tone, you can buy a whole kit that is put together to go with your skin tone! I have fair skin so I brought the fair skin kit and I am so happy with it! You should really check it out!
Reply:Physician's formula is really good. I use the cream concealer, mineral loose powder, and the matte finishing veil..they work really good and i feel confident while wearing it..i've even had people ask me if im actually wearing makeup or say that i look awesome without it!! and this is while wearing pf so i like it!!
Reply:Go to www.beautyblisscosmetics.com

Their mineral products are THE BEST!! Most mineral foundations contain bismuth oxychloride - a cheap addititve filler that 90% of women are allergic to and is terrible for your skin. Beauty Bliss products don't contain them! So your skin won't itch and burn after a few minutes!!

They have foundations, correctors, eye colors, blushes - all in a rainbow of colors and you can get a sample of ANYTHING for only $1.25!!! You won't believe how easy these powders are to apply, how well they cover and how beautiful they look! I'm a huge fan!

SKIN_CARE / clear skin for men?

Have you..or do you use some kind of facial creams or lotions to look after your skin. I'm coming up to 32 %26amp; I want to look after my appearence, wrinkles %26amp; open pores..there are so many products on the market..which works for you? or is fruit/veg %26amp; exercise the best?

SKIN_CARE / clear skin for men?
Simple and NOT expensive. I use Dial antibacterial w/ vitamins to wash my face, a couple times a week I add a teaspoon of salt to exfoliate the skin. Then I use witch hazel after washing as a toner. Finally I apply a moisturizing cream to help protect the skin, I like Clean %26amp; Clean brand, it's oil free and helps prevent break-outs and it can be purchase at any grocery or chain drugstore. Aging has a lot to do with your genes (and a good diet w/ exercise), but I have found this regiment helps fight back the years.
Reply:my son always uses nivea
Reply:I am speaking from personal experience. My fiancee had eczyma as well as myself. The best thing you can do to keep your skin clear is like you said, eat your fruits and veggies, drink plenty of water and excersise. Limity your chocalate, fat, and grease intake. My skin cleared up believe it or not, after I quit eating meat for a month, his skin cleared up by using a colon cleanser/detoxifier,(which you can buy for like $15 on the shelf at GNC). I am 33 and I have no acne or wrinkles or bags.
Reply:Clinque make some excellent products for men and so does nivea visage and they are a little cheaper.

Reply:Hi Toby G,

About 2 yrs ago my face was a mess, i had patchy dry skin and bad spots. I went to the chemist and purchased 'clean and clear' deep cleansing lotion, apply that to your skin after a shower and you will be surprised at how much dirt comes out of your open pores. splash cold water onto your face after that to close your pores, then use Vitamin E cream from the body shop range to re hydrate the skin. you pay a bit more for it but you don't need a lot. and at 33 yrs old my skin has cleared up and i still get mistaken for 24! OK maybe 26!
Reply:Aloe Vera Cream thanks

Reply:There are several clinically proven skin rejuvenation treatments on the market that work really well. The key is to chose products that have an effective concentration of an active anti-aging ingredient.

For example, glycolic acid is a clinically proven rejuvenator for skin but the concentration needs to be at least 8% or it is like taking baby aspirin for a migraine. Glycolic acid is a good skin exfoliant and will help to reduce pore size, reduce acne outbreaks and encourage skin cell turnover so your skin will look its best.

Vitamin A, (retinol) products are another excellent anti-aging treatment for fine lines, wrinkles and age spots along with products with DMAE to help skin to remain firm.

The vast majority of skin rejuvenation products will list anti-aging treatment ingredients, if the recommended concentration is not specified on the label then there is no way of knowing the effectiveness of that particular product.

Always check the listing of ingredients to make sure you are selecting a clinically proven rejuvenating product that will be effective in addressing your specific aging skin concerns.

Healthy habits such as diet, exercise and sufficient sleep also help to maintain good skin tone.

Sunscreen is an essential of any skin care regime-all year round- to prevent sun damaged skin, age spots and wrinkles from developing.
Reply:The general consensus is that natural products found in your kitchen are the best products to use for facial care.
Reply:Skin care for man?I use Nivea face cream.Unfortunately there are not many products exclusively for men.Fair and Lovely -Menz is good.Cosmetic companies do not care for men ,most of the products are for women because the largest market is their.Wrinkle free is not good,it has no effect. You have to meet a skin care clinic and get a tailor made treatment.Perhaps women are influenced by personality of man rather than the glow of the skin.
Reply:i always use Clearasil it makes your skin look really healthy and it makes it soft to!x!
Reply:The ducks back is made for the water, and camels foot brings it honor on the sand. The crocodile, like man must cover many different terrains. When the drought is upon him, he covers in mud being careful not to crack. Man is no different from this. For you grasshopper I say use dermaxime, or Metro Male
Reply:Arbonne has an anti-aging line specifically formulated for men. We all know that men's skin has different needs from women's and Arbonne has taken that into consideration. They formulate their products withOUT harmful ingredients such as alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, and mineral oil. Those that contain mineral oil sit on the top layer of your skin like saran wrap and get wiped off over time. These have little to no long term benefit but rather a temporary feeling of softness. Arbonne also formulates their products with nanosphere technology which means that the skin care adjusts to your specific needs. The NutriMenC Re9 consists of the 9 KEY anti-aging elements necessary to formulate an anti-aging product and contain 4 products (exfoliating wash, toner, shave gel, and moisturizer). Some ingredients include chamomile, cucumber, vitamins A, C and E, octinoxate, bilberry and sugar maple, almond, and sunflower. Research shows that 6 months continued use of the system will give a 68% decrease in deep density lines and wrinkles, however my husband saw results within a matter of a week or two. We both use and LOVE Arbonne. And, you can be sure that you're using a pure, safe, and beneficial product.

Arbonne has anti aging products for your entire body including a hydrating body wash, body serum, hydrating body lotion, and essential fatty acid dietary supplement, a concentrated blend of flaxseed oil, CoQ10 and beneficial elements to support younger-looking skin and good health ... from the inside, out ... and formulated in a vegetarian capsule. It's made of Flaxseed oil, vitamins A, C, E, Coenzyme Q10, alpha lipoic acid.

It's b/c I've been using high quality products...nothing you can get a Wal-Mart. On, and by the way, Clinique is NOT a good product. They just appeal to men by the way the products look. Skin Problem Caused by Excessive Heat? (Diagnosis Help Please)?

I've been outside from 8AM to 4 PM for the past four days, plus 9AM to 4PM on Saturday, all for band camp. It has been hot and sunny enough to give me sunburn on my shoulders after one day (I wore a tank top that day.) and I'm wondering why I'm itching all over the place. There are small raised bumps on my skin; they are not discolored nor red/pink. They itch at frequent intervals and are mainly on the back of my hands and elbow. (Though it itches basically everywhere that wasn't covered by clothing.)

I'm just hoping to find a good treatment, at the moment, I'm using generic anti-itch cream with aloe.

Skin Problem Caused by Excessive Heat? (Diagnosis Help Please)?
Hard to say without seeing you -

Sounds like heat rash - but is it at all possible there are 'bugs' around where you are practicing? Like Chiggers?

Try taking a benadryl tonight (or when you get home)

An Oatmeal bath is good and use a solid cream for your shoulders that got burned - wash with a wash cloth to remove dead skin (exfoliating) and if things aren't better see an MD.

Wash in the shower after practice then soak in the oatmeal bath.

Skin changing colour?

almost 3 months ago i noticed that the colour of my skin around my mouth was becoming lighter (im tanned). my doctor didnt know exactly what the problem was but gave me some daktacort cream which only restored a little bit colour. does any one know what the problem is and if there is anything better that can help restore my colour.

I hate oily skin!!!!!!!!!!?

plz, plz, plz, plz, plz, plz can somebody tell me how to get rid of my oily skin!!!!!!. it is driving me crazy. i hate looking in the mirror coz all i see is a greasy, shiny face. i hate talking to people coz i no der thinkin 'doesn't she ever wash her face!' but i do. after i wash my face after bout 10 secs my face is covered in oil again and i'm not exaggerating. i wash my face bout 4 times a day max. i've tried putting vingar and cucumber juice on my face. i use an oil control cleanser and mattifying cream but it doesn't work. i cant use blotting tissues coz wen i do my face dries up and goes all flakey which isn't good. plz der must b sum1 out there who used to have oily skin but now is cured............ any suggestions......................

I hate oily skin!!!!!!!!!!?
Try washing your face less frequently - your skin is probably over reacting to the amount of cleansing you do!

And as for putting acidic substances on your face....please stop!

What do you expect?? Your skin is your body's primary defence mechanism, and it is defending itself!

I also have oily skin and i wash twice a day the use either a pea sized amount of simple light moisturiser, or clarins hydra matte lotion when im feeling flush.

i also use a clay mask once a week which helps.

But, mainly - try to wash less. and try it for quite some time, your skin may not normalise for a few weeks.

Bear in mind your hormones may also affect your skin somehow.
Reply:Try using a pressed powder... there are kinds for people with oily skin. Generally speaking, powder will help soak up some of that oil.
Reply:Stop asking that question!
Reply:Your using too much product on your face. All those products to dry out your skin are causing the skin to produce more oil. Wash your face with dove unscented soap, apply an oil free moisturizer or sun block and dust on a translucent powder. Your skin will look fine. Good luck!
Reply:yes, just wash your face with water only. It is all those products you've been using that make your skin so oily. Seriously, whenever I would use a cleanser or soap to wash my face with it became a greasy mess soon after. When I only use water, it's fine.
Reply:Betty is right! Too many anti-oil product can have and adverse effect. Just try using a normal to oily skin cleanser a toner for normal skin and a normal moisturizer then leave your face alone. Those anti oil lotions do more harm than good. Believe me I know I can rub my face and see the oil on my hands. My nose has been known to light up like Rudolph. I use to spend lots of money buying anti oil product from Estee Lauder and then from Chanel. Now I'm saving money using normal product by Olay.
Reply:Call a dermatologist. Usually they can give you rxs to help dry your skin. But if it dries too much, you will peel and burn. Also, Mark Kay offers a cream that helps to dry your skin.
Reply:You need to stop washing your face so much and maybe re-think the products that you use. Prehaps buy one specifically for oily skin. As someone else mensioned, pressed powder can also work wonders. Since doing this, I now have less oily skin and hardly any spots.
Reply:go to a dermatologist

ask about Differin and Benzac

Differin normalizes pores so that they appear better and to that the benzac can get in and kill the bacteria that causes them to be inflamed and over produece sebum

They are soooo good and with insurance costs about $15 total for 6 week supply.

Neutrogen microdermabrasion works for me too

Also put 1 to 10 tea tree oil to with hazel soltion in a bottle and apply as needed Use tea tree concentrate, its better. Also use Neutrogena and Purpose products, they are affordable and dermatologist recommended.
Reply:Dont use to much cleanser or toners etc. Use a pressed shine preventing powder. (They really work SO well for me!!) and moisturise. You shouldnt wash your face four times a day...Once in the morning and before bed is enough.

I used to have really oily skin but now i am cured!
Reply:perhaps instead of using blotting paper just use regular soft tissue - works pretty much the same. but might not be so harsh on your skin?

Skin analysis- Porphyrins count of 949 - means what?

Had a complexion analysis report done yesterday at the dermatologist's office... everything looked great, except my porphyrins count was 949 -- and I was told that was EXTREMELY high. Was prescribed all kinds of things from glycolic facial wash to retin a cream. Haven't done anything yet. Can't find info on the net as to whether this should be a legitimate concern or what. Does this mean I have a huge bacteria count lurking under my skin? The scare tactics are what make me wary of this computerized printout. Any advice appreciated.

Skin analysis- Porphyrins count of 949 - means what?
You may have a porphyria. This is a genetic disorder that is present since birth, and it is characterized by a disruption in the heme biosynthesis pathway (heme is a component of hemoglobin, the oxygen-binding molecule of red blood cells). There are several different kinds of porphyrias, some are more serious than others. The dermatological concern is that in some porphyrias, skin exposure to UV light can cause an awful rash and other health problems. This may be what your dermatologist is trying to avoid.

However, porphyrias can be serious and should be worked up as you can develop liver problems. Ask your dermatologist about porphyrias and request that a lab study be done on your blood and urine.

Here is an article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porphyria

I wish you the best.

Skin issues... any advice?

My skin is what I hate most about myself. It is dry but oily in certain places - like the "T" zone on my face and on either side of my nose. I use night time moisturizers to help with the dryness everywhere else on my face, but I feel like this contributes to the parts of my face that are oily (and I use oil-free moisturizer..it's Dove Nighttime cream to be exact). Another issue is that I have bumps... they aren't really zits - they don't get red and there doesn't seem to be anything in them. They're just bumps. Anyone know what I can do about these issues? Should I go to a dermatologist ?

Skin issues... any advice?
I have similar skin to yours and I find that I have to vary my skin routine depending on the season. I use a gentle milk cleanser every morning - it doesn't feel "clean" but it does cleanse and it keeps me from having irritated skin. I then use a gentle toner and then a moisturizer (I am fond of some the Olay moisturizers or a brand called Kiehl's). Once or twice a week I use an exfoliation treatment. This helps with the bumps and helps to keep your skin looking fresh.

I have always felt that overcleansing your skin and not using enough moisturizers makes your skin drier.
Reply:Dermatologists are great. If you cannot get to one, I recommend using Stridex pads 3 times daily in the oily places and Bio Oil in the dry places. At night, use a good balancing moisturizer from Neutrogena. Neutrogena also, I have found, offers a great line of cleansers...esp. their Deep Clean. (in no way am I connected/affiliated with these companies)

What acne treatments are out there that don't dry out your skin?

I have very sensitive skin, and the acne mostly appears on my upper lip. I use cream to remove hair on my lip too. I've had the same pimple for over 2 weeks now. What should I do?

What acne treatments are out there that don't dry out your skin?
Try holding a rag soaked with HOT water to it. In the past, I've taken a vitamin e gel capsule (that you are supposed to swallow), broken it open, and applied it directly to trouble spots, and that really helps!

My dog has skin allergies?
Being a professional pet groomer I see a lot of cocker spaniels with skin issues. Try upgrading the brand of food your feeding her even going as far as a prescription food. It would help to know the exact type of allergy. Reduce number of baths and try rubbing vitamin e oil directly on to her skin.
Reply:Did your vet have you try Claritin? That's what my vet told me to give my dog for allergies. You'll have to check with a vet for the dosage though because my dog's bigger than a cocker.
Reply:Switch to premium food not containing meat/animal by-products or corn.
Reply:Pet Allergies, and especially dog allergies, are not uncommon. There are three predominant types of allergy. 'Contact allergies' are triggered by allergens that come in contact with the skin. 'Food allergies' occur when a dog or cat has an adverse reaction to a particular ingested ingredient. 'Inhalent allergies' are spurred on by allergens breathed in by a pet. The following information can help you learn more about your pet's allergies, and allow you to take steps to control it. This information is not a substitute for vetrinary care. A vet will often prescribe medications to help control allergic reactions. This in combination with improving a pet's diet and environment will often reduce allergy symptoms greatly.

Hope this helps!
Reply:My face is dry as well, and I have found a difference after using goat's milk lotion.I order mine off of E-bay, and I'm sure that you can get it other places too. It's light, yet so affective.....I love it!! You may also want to become familiar with DHC products. They are such quality items, and have something for every type of skin. If you want to just try generic things, look for lotions that don't have alcohol as the main ingrediant; this drys out your skin more. Instead, look for some with Aloe Vera, various oils, and Vitamin E.
Reply:check with your pharmacist you might even need to see a doctor or skin specialist if its continously dry all the time
Reply:cetaphil gentle cleanser is good, but I really like Dove moisturizer for dry skin. You can look for some homemade remedies such as use honey that mix with milk or plain yogurt with tomato. That are working well on my skin.
Reply:When I got pregnant with my second, I had really dry skin. I looked all over for something good. The best thing I've found is a lotion made by clinique. It's called Superdefense Triple Action (Very dry to dry). It also has 25 SPF in it. It doesn't make you feel greasy at all, it's very light. Also, you should put it on as soon as you get out of the shower and/or washing your face. It's kinda expensive, but it lasts for about 6 months. I'm a firm believer.

from then on i've never had dry skin!
Reply:Dry skin is a common problem that everyone faces in winter. Your skin develops cracks. These cracks can be painful and sometimes can bleed. But if all the treatments that you have undergone; have yielded no results, here we offer some sure-fire remedies to treat dry skin.

Include 1000 mg of MSM daily in your diet. MSM is an organic sulphur supplement bundled along with vitamins and herbal supplements. It will make your skin strong and flexible. It speeds up healing and clears your skin of any scars. But remember, this is a slow process.
Reply:if u can find a fresh cums........that is better to ur dry face
Reply:In that case you should try a more intensive moisturizing lotion or you could buy one that contain oil to prevent any moisture loss while you sleep. It is also strongly recommended that you exfoliate your face before applying any skin care products to make sure that the moisturizer is fully absorb into the skin cells in order to work effectively.
Reply:You lotion doesn't seem to be working because it might contain mineral oil. You want to use a lotion that does NOT contain mineral oil as the molecular structure is too large to penetrate the pores of your skin, sitting on the top layer like saran wrap. These products give a temporary feeling of softness and just get wiped off over time, giving you little to no benefit long term. This is why many people find themselves reapplying lotion 3Xs a day. You want to stick with a pure, water based product that will penetrate the dermis and deeply condition and hydrate your skin with proper ingredients. If you're going to use a day crème, use one with a SPF of 8, anything higher has been shown to be too irritating for the skin on a daily use. You might want to try Arbonne's day crème (SPF 8) or intelligence moisturizer. They also have a great hand creme made with Aloe (a pure moisturizer), Liposomes, phospholipids, alpha hydroxy acids, antioxidant vitamins A, C and E. All are botanically based, pure, safe, and beneficial for all skin types. They're also formulated with nanosphere technology to specifically adjust to your skin type. If you're open to trying a free sample, I'll be happy to send you one. Good luck.

Skin complexion problem?

Is there any cream or anything that can help me with my different skintone my lower face have lighter complexion compared to my forehead. and even my neck is darker than my face and forehead.is there anyhting i can use to level my skin tone from forehead to my neck?

Skin complexion problem?
You don't mention your age. I would start by finding a skin care line for your skin type.

Use it 2 times a day.

Use an exfoliator 2 times a week

Try a microdermabrasion

BeautiControl has a great skincare line made specifically made for your skin age.,
Reply:Ask ur doctor. Photofacial is a laser it goes under ur skin and it levels out the complexion of ur skin. That is something that is under ur skin and cream wont fix it.
Reply:u can try honey.. i've noticed it helps my texture and skin coloration (i have blotchy red skin). just put a thin layer on ur whole face every night after u cleanse and moisturize, and make sure u put a towel on the pillow and try not to move around too much (sleep on ur back!). if it itches too much or makes u irritated, u may be allergic. otherwise, it will also help w/ ur pimples because it is a natural anti-bacterial.

also maybe once or twice a month, try this exfoliation mask: buy a bottle of uncoated aspirin, like $0.99 at walmart. take 4-5 tablets, put a few drops of water in it to soften. when soft, add some honey and mix. rub onto your whole face, let dry for at least 30 min ( i usually do much longer), and then wash off w/ warm water, rub gently to exfoliate. Moisturize afterwards!

good luck~
Reply:yes there is cream to apply for that but my best suggestion is go to the dermatologist near in your area or try the licensed esthetician they will be able to answer you with professional point of view because they can see you personal. try it okay where do you live any way? because I know i can refer you to my esthetician if you like. I live in Northhills area in CA just to let you know
Reply:You dont exactly have a serious PROBLEM. You have'nt mentioned your age. Anyways, I strongly believe in kitchen shelf treatments, so i can suggest a few here.

Make a face pack of honey -lemon. Use1 tbsp of honey and a few drops (ideally 6-7) and apply onto face. You can increase the quantity as per requirements. Leave onto the face for 20 minutes and then wash off. Apply twice a week and you will notice a difference.

You can also take a tbsp of youghurt (unflavoured) and apply on the face and neck. Wash off after 30 minutes. Can apply on a daily basis.

Precaution : do not talk while you have the above packs on. Exfoliate if necessary and moisturise, if required depending on your skin type.

Happy glowing!:)

By having dry skin. can it start itching if it gets waaay to dry?
Dry skin problems respond well to self-care measures, such as using moisturizers and avoiding long, hot showers and baths. If you have very dry and scaly skin, your doctor may recommend you use an over-the-counter cream that contains lactic acid or lactic acid and urea.

In a more serious skin disease, such as ichthyosis or psoriasis, your doctor may prescribe prescription creams and ointments or other treatments in addition to home care.

Dry skin leads to dermatitis, which causes red, itchy skin. In these cases, treatment may include hydrocortisone-containing lotions. If your skin cracks open, your doctor may prescribe wet dressings with mildly astringent properties to contract your skin and reduce secretions and prevent infection.

Whats the best skin care system for me?

you know, those three step systems with a cleanser, lotion, and cream or something like that?

stuff like proactive, clinique 3-step system, ect.

good quality brands

what would work best for me:

im 13

my skin is oily on my nose

dry on my forehead

acne prone

i would probably only use it once a day so my skin doesnt get irritated

Thanks!

Whats the best skin care system for me?
sometimes it's best to just experimant. i use proactive because that works best for me but it may work different for you, try it or clean and clear is good too. you just have to find what works best for you. and make sure you use a moisturizer that doesn't clog your pores
Reply:I suggest proactive, but sometimes it doesn't work.

So invest in a good make-up like Bare Minerals, wash your face normally and then use Bare, it Really does help!

Reply:proactiv. i had the worst acne i'd ever seen in my life. it was disgusting. in a month it had completely cleared. its fantastic. i would reccomend it to anyone who needed a good facial cleanser.
Reply:at your age, you are more prone for acne due to the increase in hormones (puberty). Otherwise, your skin is probably at top shape (no wrinkles, sagging, sun spots, ect). So I would advise you to keep your skin care routine to a minimal. Remember to have sun protection.

I would use the Murad acne system instead of Proactive. Murad does not contain Benzoyl Peroxide, so it won't irriate your skin. Check out the review: http://www.glamouredited.com/skin/Murad_...

I have dry skin and is falling off what should i do?
There may be several medications for skin problems. But speaking of DRY SKIN, it responds well to self-care measures, such as using moisturizers and avoiding long, hot showers and baths. If you have very dry and scaly skin, your doctor may recommend you use an all-natural cream that contains natural oils that gives soothing and glowing results.

In a more serious skin disease, such as ichthyosis or psoriasis, your doctor may prescribe prescription creams and ointments or other treatments in addition to home care.

Dry skin leads to dermatitis, which causes red, itchy skin. In these cases, treatment may include lotions with natural-oil ingredients. If your skin cracks open, your doctor may prescribe wet dressings with mildly astringent properties to contract your skin and reduce secretions and prevent infection.

Reply:Sounds like that cream irritated your face. You probably need to leave it alone. I sure wouldn't put anything else on it for a few days. My son has very dry skin and the Dr. told me to use Cetaphil. It is a lotion that you can get a Wal-Mart. But get the Wal-Mart brand though because it is expensive. You could also try some 1% hydrocortisone cream with it. That will help with any inflamation

Skin problem help needed for dog?

I have a 3 !/2 month golden retriver- she has had a serious fungal infection- i took her to the vets and they gave her a special bath- i then had to bath here every two days and sprey this really strong chemical on her and finally put a cream on. anyway it seemed to off worked and her hair has started growing back- well last night she started really scratching again and little lumps have come up on her ears- i live in tyrkey and the vets are rubbish they just want to sell you loads off stuff to make money. I think it maynot be a fungal infection and maybe mites- does anyone know what I should be looking for and what i can ask the vet to do- someone has suggested a skin scrap or a blood test.

Any advice would be a great help as driving me insane- I am going to a new vet tomorrow so wanted to be prepared

Thanks

Skin problem help needed for dog?
A skin scrap wont bother the dog to much but it is a good way to find out exactly what is bothering the dog.

If your vet does seem that he is after your money rather than the well fair of your dog it is better as you have mentioned to change your vet. I have listed below some mites that causes what you have described.

Demodicosis

This is a noncontagious skin disease caused by an excessive population of the canine follicular mite, Domodex canis. The life cycle of the mite, involving eggs, six legged larvae, eight legged protonymphs, and four legged adults occurs completely on the host. This mite occurs naturally on most dogs and lives in the hair follicles. Complications arising from this mite typically occurs in young dogs(juvenile-onset form) and less commonly occurs in older dogs (adult-onset form). Complications may be localized or generalized. NOTE: localized and generalized are very different diseases.

Localized demodicosis is very common and is typically a mild, self-limiting disease. Generalized demodicosis is a severe and potentially life-threatening illness that typically evolves from the more localized form and is relatively uncommon.

This disease is a result of the alteration of the normal protective mechanisms of the skin that keep the mite in check. Dogs affected with localized demodicosis exhibit one or more well defined patches of hair loss, reddening of the skin (erythema), and scaling. These patches typically develop on the face, around the eyes, the corners of the mouth, and on the front legs.

Dogs affected with generalized demodicosis usually have a history of localized demodicosis. Diffuse or patchy, generalized hair loss accompanied by scaling, crusting, and signs of chronic skin inflammation are characteristic of this disease. In extreme cases, bacterial disease may be present.

Canine Scabies

This is a highly contagious, intensely itchy, skin disease caused by the burrowing epidermal mite, Sarcoptes cabei var. canis. This particular mite is restricted almost exclusively to dogs, but may produce a transient itching disease in other hosts, including people. The intense itching arises from the irritation caused by the mites as they burrow into the skin and by their production of toxic and allergy inducing compounds.

The mites are small, oval, whitish, and opaque. Adult mites have eight legs and live on average 4 to 5 weeks. Although they spend most of their time on the host, these mites can exist for up to 48 hours off the host in the local environment. Transmission occurs by direct contact with an infested dog and clinical signs may develop within a week of contact with an infested animal.

Affected dogs exhibit intense itching, small reddened papules with crusting, hair loss, and often severe secondary trauma caused by energetic scratching and biting. These lesions are usually found on the underside of the body, around the ears, elbows, and front legs.

Affected dogs should be temporarily isolated and the premises thoroughly cleaned. Treatment involves the sue of shampoos or miticidal dips. Oral anti-inflammatory medication may be administered to help control itching. All animals living on the premises that have had significant contact with the affected dog should be treated as well, since it is possible they may be harboring sarcoptic mites, with or without accompanying clinical signs.

Cheyletiellosis

This is a mild, contagious, variably itchy, skin disease of domestic animals, wildlife, and people caused by the mites of the genus Cheyletiella. These mites live on the surface of the skin. It should be noted that this condition is typically seen in parts of the world where vigorous flea control is not necessary or not practiced. The mites that cause this illness are sensitive to the same insecticides that kill adult fleas.

The mites are large with prominent hooklike mouthparts, and can be seen with the unaided eye as small white specks on the dogs skin or hair. Although the entire life cycle of the mite is completed on the host, adult female mites can survive in the environment for extended periods of time. This increases the likelihood of transmission to other animals or humans.

Ear Mites

This mite, Otodectes cynotis, is most at home in the ear canals of dogs and cats. When present, they present a dry, reddish brown wax that often appears at the opening of the ear canal. Large numbers of these mites can create such an extensive amount of excrement and wax that the entire ear canal becomes obstructed. Further, they can produce a major reaction in the ear and set the stage for secondary infections by yeast or bacteria.

Treatment involves removing the debris caused by the mites, anti-inflammatory drugs or ointments to subdue scratching, and miticides to kill the mites.
Reply:The new vet is a good idea. It could be about anything. Allergies, food, dermatitis. A scrape is a good idea, so is a blood test.
Reply:My sister had same type of problem a number of years ago with her border collie ........had skin scrapes expensive medication special diets the lot everything worked for a while but would always come back untill poor dog was almost bald ............ tried Tea Tree oil spray a few pounds off pet stall worked a treat ...... its in a pump spray bottle worth a try ....
Reply:I have a 3 year old lab who also has ear problems like this A LOT. I wash his ears with Hydrogen peroxide and then use this blue gel stuff called Benadene by Sergeant's. It's a hot spot skin remedy so you can put it anywhere on their body. It says it's for : reddened area, hair loss, intense itching. Active ingredient is Benzalkonium Chloride. It seems to help a lot!
Reply:It could be her diet as well. Golden's are known to get allergies. Check and see what's in her food wheat or corn may be doing this. Also you should ask your vet to do a skin scrape and blood work so you can nip this in the bud. It could be many different things. Good luck with her, she's lucky to have such a caring person looking out for her.;^)
Reply:i would ask for the skin scraping
Reply:I would start with a skin scrap to see if they find mites or anything.

If it is demodex mange it can be treated but takes time to clear up.

If the skin scrape is clear then start looking at allergies.

Many Goldens have flea or food allergies and once you figure it out thing clear up and go pretty well. But it may take some time to figure out what is causing this.

Good luck.
Reply:Oh dear, you are having your fair share of problems! When you see your new vet, and after any further tests are done, ask him about Fuciderm Carbomer Gel. This is an excellent veterinary product but is a prescription-only medicine. Unfortunately, a tube costs about £17 over here but, on a plus side, it works like magic! My Siamese cat has these 'mystery' sore patches on his inner thighs and tummy occasionally. My vet, having tested him for every skin condition under the sun, prescribed Fuciderm and that really worked wonders. Don't worry, Fuciderm is for dogs primarily!

I hope you will have some luck. I know how distressing skin problems can be ... for the owner as well as the pet!
Reply:The first thing they should do is a skin scrapping to see exactly what is on her to cause her itching. Some dogs especailly goldens tend to have allergies. Find out if they have testing for this or if there is something in your home or yard that they know would cause this. Some foods cause allergies in the skin ask the vet if trying an allergy diet might help. these can be more costly than the supermarket but really worth it. There are so many reasons for itching and some dogs just itch out of boardom or frustration. Does your dog go out and walk enough or does she not like being left alone? These things can cause these reactions in dogs also.Don't be afraid to ask any and all ?s the vet may have the degree but if u sit and think about how this all started, IE: where and when what was the pet around u may be able to lead the vet in the right direction and one that is not so costly to u. Hope this hepled. Good Luck and remember in the end u r the boss not the vets.
Reply:Your poor dog - I would definitely ask for a skin scrape as that is the only way that they can tell what it is.

Get them to check in her ears as if it is mites or some other form of infestation they should be visible - you may want to consider whether there is a possibility this could be fleas and if so get some flea treatment such as frontline.

You did not say whether she has been scratching all over or whether it is just in her ears - if just her ears are bothering her then she could have got something stuck in there like a grass seed which will need to be removed.

Hope this helps and you get her sorted quickly!
Reply:My sister has a scottie and has had very similar symptons it transpiries that it is all to do with mites from his birth mother and a lot of inter breeding

EGG WHITES!!!!! Honest to God it works. It is great for acne scars or active acne. It will give your face a nice smooth feeling and also add elasticity. Wash your face w/ a face soap, let it dry and that whip up a egg white, paste it on your face and let it dry, leave it on for about 1/2 hr. and than wash it off. You'll notce results right away.

Good Luck,

My skin is very senitive with lots of brown spots?

hi ! i have very sensitive %26amp; dry skin the moment i come out in sun it will get tanned .in summers i sweat a lot %26amp; no cream works

i even have lots of brown small spots all over my face,i thought of going for laser treatment for brown spots but im really scared of results.plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help

My skin is very senitive with lots of brown spots?
Well, don't get exposed to the sun so much..The brown spots are the result of too much sun exposure, environmental pollutants and harmful UV rays. So, you gotta use sunblock everytime you step out from the house to protect your skin. Any sunblock will do, as long as it is SPF30. To treat brown spots on your face, you can try Olay, Biotherm, Clarins, Ella Bache or any hydrating cream to clarify, refine skin and keep your skin hydrated throughout the day. If u sweat alot, all you could do is prevent it by wiping it off. Laser treatment are expensive, temporary, painful and the results are slow. I advice you to take these steps daily to achieve better skin permanently. You can also go to a really good dermotologist to help you clear and radiate your skin as the first step to better skin. I hope this helps, good luck!

She said that, for example, if you are working on a computer, it will omit UV rays and SPF cream will protect you from it..I thought only the sun could give off UV rays that damage the skin..!??

My Burt's Bees face cream has mold growing on it!?

I just bought this cream 2 months ago and stored it in my bathroom. Lately it has started to change its smell...and I knew that it was spoiling. Then a few days ago it turned greyish and a white cottony mold was growing from it. So I tossed it ofcourse. But I was pissed off that I paid so much money for that face cream and now it went rotten. No where on the packaging does it say that it must be stored in the fridge. Has this ever happened to any of your natural skin care products? If so, how do you make it last longer without spoiling? Is keeping it in the fridge (and having to run back and forth to use it in the morning) well worth it?

My Burt's Bees face cream has mold growing on it!?
Ah yes, natural face creams growing moldy, doing what all things "natural" are supposed to do.

1. NEVER put your fingers in a pot of cream.

2. ALWAYS use a clean spatula to remove the product from the jar to avoid contaminating the product.

3. Store in a cool place and expect to toss it after about 3 months, especially if there are no preservatives in the product.

While I am not familiar with Burt's Bees products, I do know that it is better to dispense products from a tube or a pump. There is less chance of contamination and oxidation and you are more careful in dispensing - not wanting to waste any. It is far too easy to put back into a jar or pot the excess you may have scooped up.
Reply:Fish it out of the garbage and write them or google them and write them an email about your problem. They will send you a new one. Ask them about storage, may just be the humidity and summer depending on where you live.
Reply:Its kind of common sense that natural face products will spoil. Burt's Bees doesn't use anything extra in it to preserve it, so it will get moldy if it comes in contact with mold spores. Your bathroom is probably very moist and the moisture is trapped in the walls which promotes mold growth. You may not see it now, but there was mold in my walls which turned out to be the toxic variety. You should really have your bathroom checked out, and always close the lid tightly on perishable products. Its the sacrifice we make for going natural, but altogether its better for you.
Reply:You should have taken them back. Majority of products tolerate up to 100 degrees of heat. I think the problem was the moisture and humidity in your bathroom. You can leave skin care and cosmetics in the refrigerator for a short period of time.
Reply:well, this has neevr happened to me,but i suposse that its just because the place you stored it in was way to hot.You haveto read the warnings too

I turned 30 years old last month, should I start using anti-wrinkle cream? Suggest some good ones please.?

I have oily skin with pores. But I was wondering that now I am 30, Should I begin using an age defying cream? if yes, which one is the best? I do not have wrinkles yet but yes my skin isnt as good as it was earlier. I was blessed with a baby in Nov and have very less time to take care of skin, so suggest some good and easy option to maintain my skin's elasticity. Thanks.

I turned 30 years old last month, should I start using anti-wrinkle cream? Suggest some good ones please.?
I also turned 30 last month, I used to have Acne and I have blemishes. I stared using Olay total effects anti blemish cream and it's great. It has no oil so it's ideal for oily skin and it fights aging like pores and wrinkles. 30 is still young I think.
Reply:LOL....I thought I was the only one thinking ahead about wrinkles at 30. I use Oil of Olay Age Defying products. Not sure if it is helping, since I didn't have any wrinkles to begin with, but I want to be proactive!
Reply:Olay's Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream is the probably best to use for your skin but you can actually start using age defying creams in your 20s for anyone else reading this.
Reply:don't use any cream...just drink plenty of water to keep your skin moist and pretty;)
Reply:I'm 25 and I have acne and oily skin as well. I started using Patricia Wexler mmpi daily regenerating serum twice a day and it really does smooth out your skin after 4 weeks of use. I noticed that the wrinkles around my mouth faded after 4 weeks.
Reply:you're only 30! that is really young believe it or not. if anything, i think Olay would be the most gentle and "safe".
Reply:If fine lines start to appear, consider using Time Deifance by Artistry but you can only buy this from direct sellers. It is on the Top 5 best skin care products worldwide but not as expensive as the other 4 with full money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the product. Avoid staying under the sun for long periods and I agree that drinking plenty of water really helps. You may also want to consider supplementing your diet with Lecithin-E and Vitamin C (best brand I tied so far is Nutrilite). It will give you beauty from within. And CONGRATULATIONS with your baby!
Reply:There is an amazing product (Arbonne) out there for reversing damage that's been done to our skin from the environment. The product also works to prevent damage from happening. It's never too early to start using a product that will prevent your skin from getting damaged. If you're interested in more information, let me know.
Reply:Yes, 30 is a great age to start using anti-wrinkle creams. By far the best line i've ever used and have had friends and family use is Artistry. They are a prestige brand of skin care but definately not as expensive as others. I recommend their Time Defiance Daytime and/or night time lotion. It is for people with combination to oily skin. Now I use the whole system, but not everyone buys the whole system in one shot so if nothing else you would want the lotion. It's very concentrated and last's about 3 months. All of their products have a satisfaction guarentee so if you use them and don't like them for any reason, or they wouldn't work, then you have up to 6 months to get all ofyour money back which I think is really cool. This stuff really does work wonders. You won't find it in stores but you can get it at http://www.adrennan.qhealthbeauty.com Congratulations by the way on your new baby :) That is definatley a blessing.
Reply:Be gentle with your skin and it will go a long way in keeping it smooth and supple. Gently massage the face with glycerin-honey mixture. Dip a cotton pad in unbeaten egg white, and smooth it across wrinkles. Leave it on for an hour and remove it with a cotton dipped in ice-cold water. Skin problem?

I have these small reddish bumps on both of the backs of my upper arms. They're a bit raised. It's kinda like weird rashes, but it's not irritative, and my skin's been like this as long as i can remember. It's just kinda ugly. Does anyone know what it might be, and if there's a body wash or cream that would help? I do moisturize a lot, so I think that some kind of wash might help. Any suggestions?

Skin problem?
Sounds like Keratosis Pilaris (KP) is a common skin disorder, typified by chicken skin bumps on upper arms, thighs, torso, buttocks and occasionally the cheeks.

Try DERMAdoctor KP lotion

Reply:ok i have what you have too... number one.. DO NOT POKE THEM, SQUEEZE THEM OR PUNCTURE THEM!

i made the mistake of doing that...

just if they start to itch, take ice and put it in a zip lock bag and wrap in a towle and plac eit ont he spot..

i still have not found any cream or anything to help. im sorry
Reply:Try using pure Shea butter. This product works miracles. Its even good for those who suffer from arthritis. It also clears eczema.
Reply:It does sound like keratosis pilaris - lots of people have it. Sometimes regular lotions/creams don't help - you could try lac-hydrin lotion (sorry, may need a prescription), which I've heard works really well.
