Heres my skin routine:

In the morning I just splash my face with water and put a day cream on but at night I use an olay face wash.

what can I do about greasy/ oily skin?

Thanks!

You should wash your face with a clear foaming cleanser. Then gently swipe your face with a moisturizing toner (like Nivea Visage alcohol free moisturizing toner/ pink bottle with blue lid) on a cotton pad. After, put on a gel moisturzier like Clean %26amp; Clear oil free moisturizer. Carry a pack of Clean %26amp; Clear oil blotting sheets in your purse too, so you can dab them in the areas that get oily throughout the day.
Reply:You should start washing your face in the morning. I would also make sure that you are using the proper day cream for your face. You may want to switch to a cream designed for combination skin.
Reply:I really don't know hon... but I do know that people with oily skin usually stay younger looking into old age for some reason. So it might suck now, but later on you'll be thankful for it.
Reply:I had the same problem as you when I was your age as well. Oily skin, is acne-prone skin, so you want to wash it daily with a good cleanser. Try a 3-step system ( cleanser, toner, moisturizer ) that is suited especially for Oily Skin, such as the Biotherm Biopur system for oily skin, or Clinique, or just go to a local drug store and ask for a consultation. Just make sure that whatever moisturizer you use, however, is oil free. That's the main step. And also, never ever wipe your oil with just a regular kleenex tissue, or with your bare hands, that's won't do anything, but create more bacteria for your skin. If you hate seeing the oil during the day, go buy those oil-blotting sheets, I think Neutrogena has them for $6.00. But just remember, wash your face daily morning and night, and you should be okay. Everyone has a different skin type, so it's all natural.
Reply:I'm 20 and I've worn make up since I was twelve years old and I can tell you that MOST make up does not cause oil problems. It might be the problem if you use a thick foundation or liquid base...which at thirteen would be overkill for just an occasional spot.

Oiliness is a problem that can be caused by many things including:

* Heredity

* Diet

* Hormone levels

* Pregnancy

* Birth control pills

* Cosmetics you use

* Humidity and hot weather

I still have to maintain my oily skin which is annoying but, hey, at least our skin type ages slower! My routine is washing my face in the shower with St. Ives Apricot Scrub (Blackhead and blemish control). I seal the pores shut by rinsing my face with cold water, which closes up the pores where bacteria and oil-acne causing oil can gather. I recommend using an oil-free moisturizer, not cream, for oily skin such as the one Proactiv sells, which works great.

For problems during the day, a lot of different make up companies sell things that are called Blotting Papers that absorb the oil on your face. I know for sure that Exfoliage and Mary Kay sell them. I think Clean %26amp; Clear does too and there are plenty of generic brands of them at Big Lots and at convenience stores.

I hope you find a regiment that works for you as well!
Reply:i would wash your face in the morning with a face wash especially designed for oily skin. also, the have these great little wipes that come in a compact made by 'clean and clear' that you wipe your face with and it get's rid of oil.
Reply:wash your face, and get some pressed poweder in your skin tone. Keep your powder in your purse and reapply it during the day (I usually reapply it at lunch)
