For about a month i have had very red irritated skin on the right hand side of my vagina opening, i thought it may be a yeast infection so i applied anti-fungal cream a few times a day for a week, but no improvement, i then purchased another brand of anti-fungal cream and have been applying it for about a week also. i am a virgin and dont understand why this is happening.

can anyone please give me some advise?

Red irritated skin beside vagina opening?

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Reply:JOCK ITCH or prickly heat...DEFINITELY see a doctor if it does not go away
Reply:It may be vaginosis. That's like a yeast infection, but it's more persistent and doesn't respond to less than prescription strength medication. I had it, and it was definitely characterized by red, irritated skin near my vagina. It was also itchy, and I had a near constant discharge. To treat it, you should go to your gynecologist. Hope this helps!
Reply:go easy just keep ur private parts clean and dry ....and apply some antiseptic cream...like "SOFRAMYCIN" it is of gr8 help...and for some time donot wear tight innerwears
Reply:Please report Living Dead Elvis.
Reply:It could be an infection that the doctor needs to prescribe stronger meds for. It could be simple irritation from your panties, acidic urine (not drinking enough water) or even just wiping too thoroughly after using the toilet. Try blotting rather than wiping. Vaginal tissue is thin and delicate and is Easily irritated by washing with strong or fragranced soaps. Never use antibacterial soaps down there.

I would advise stopping all creams. Eat more yogurt with live active cultures and blot rather than wipe for the next week. If there is no improvement after that then definitely make an appointment with your doctor.
Reply:you probably have an infection caused by the skin being moist, not getting dry enough. Try putting regular talc baby powder on it daily. Not powder with corn starch it will breed bacteria. Since the yeast cream hasn't worked try just cortisone 10, with the powder for a week. If that doesn't work see a doctor. you might need a combo yeast and cortisone cream.
Reply:hai, your problem its simple i think you must be discuss this with doctor. i can give you solution you have to clean your vagina area with "sirih" i dont know the word in english but you can ask anyone to give you more information about "sirih". i just pray, i hope your sick disappear.good luck.karlina
Reply:This could be an irritation from nylons, or spandex type pants. Your fluids could be high acidic. Take warm baths with baking soda. This is a natural skin healing and if you can do a couple a day and you will find some relief. Sometimes an ingrown hair can cause an irritation also. If it persist you should go see your doctor just to be sure. Now if you have had any type of sexual contact, not necessary intercourse, you should get checked out, because you can get a bacteria from hands. However the baking soda baths can give you relief. A yeast infection will affect the whole area, not just one area. Don't stress..
Reply:probably just severe thrush, %26amp; if so u need thrush medication (oral %26amp; cream to soothe)
Reply:You can get or have and infection or Might be getting yeast infection see a gyno.
