today i was cooking and my hand accidentally touched the 400 degree heating run, where i touched the run my skin had turned white and hurts like crazy. i have put some burn cream on it but i was wondering if there was anything more i could do

What is best for a severe skin burn?
Go to the doctor or ER. Burns are very easily infected, and for it to heal properly, a doctor may have to clean it or irrigate, remove the dead skin, or a number of other things. I've been burned in several different ways, each time to a different degree.

They will most likely give you a prescription for a burn cream called silvadene, which is the best treatment.

Aloe vera, neosporine, and several other things work, but silvadene is the best.

Beyond that, it just takes time for the skin to heal and grow back. Silvadene also helps that happen quicker, by the way. Good luck, I know it hurts...
Reply:toothpaste.
Reply:aloe vera is good for burns...also if there is a neosporin antibiotic ointment for burns that has anesthetic go w/ that right away..
Reply:Neosporin help a lot.
Reply:Call the doctor....severe burns are very easily infected.
Reply:wiht a burn like that I would go to see the doctor or to an emergency care center...untill then keep it clean and cool....try putting aloevera on it and then wrapping it in freash gauze...but serously go to see someone
Reply:Ice cold water, or olve vera burn gel.
Reply:There is Lidocaine 1% cream that you can buy over the counter and it has anesthetic in it. If you can get a prescription from a doctor for the same, but stronger cream (5% I think), that would help, too.

Putting cold yoghurt on the burn will help with the stinging and burning, but only for a short period of time.
Reply:You can make a paste up with baking soda..the baking soda will take the heat out ofthe burn..try it it works well! You put the paste on the burn..ONLY if the skin is not torn...if torn you will need some type of antibiotic cream like neosporin..
Reply:what u do is you lay in the tup with vinegar for a long time believe me I've had second degree burn twice and sun poisoning once
Reply:if u still have that burning sensation keep some ice over it...burn marks don go easily..apply olive oil after ur burn gets healed.. till that burn cream is better
Reply:Put butter salt and the juice of an onion in a bowl and mix it up then put in on your hand and visit http://thecoolwebsite2005.tripod.com/ for more details on skin burns!
Reply:Try dipping ur burned hand in vinegar immediately %26amp; repeatedly .. it will cool it off... and let me know the result.
