With the fall/winter season quickly approaching, I need some help to combat against dry %26amp; flaking facial skin.
I've tried so many things...Neutrogena, Aveeno, Clinique, Mary Kay, Vitamin E cream, Loreal, ointments, microderm abrasion kits....the list goes on and on.
Does anyone have any good suggestions on what products I can try?
Help for dry, flaky skin?
exfloate the skin and get the dead skin off. Then one thing that works really well is to use creams for people with wrinkes because their super hydrating. Also don't nessacarily buy moisterizers because they trick you sometimes. Those will only trap water in your skin, but if theres nothing to trap then their pointless so a lotion of cream is better. Also wash your face once a day instead of twice. because it's possible that the sebacious glands are not able to produce enough oil. When you take showers or baths use luke warm water instead of hot. And if you take alot of showers, cut back. drink a lot of water. Stay away from alcohol, coffee, or any cafine. That will dry it out futher. Hope this helps.
Reply:My best bet is olive oil! Yes, I mean the one you cook with! Put a little bit in your bath water and it will work wonders...
Reply:You need to establish weather your dry skin is due to de-hydration or the fact that there is a lack of oil being produced in the skin.
The best way to do this is to visit your local beauty therapist who should be able to diagnose this for you.
You could try some products such as Murad, Sothys, Environ, Cellex-C.
