Dry skin on penis?
I'm circumsized but I have had this "dry skin" issue also. First check the cream that you are applying (look at the ingredients). If it has some sort of acid as the primary ingredient this could very well be causing or contributing to your problem.

This is not all that uncommon of a problem with guys who use hand lotions to masterbate. The hand lotion is made for the much thicker skin of the hands... not the very very thin skin of the penis. So...

To get rid of your problem you first are going to have to restrain yourself from masterbating until the skin is healed. Stop using hand lotion as a moisturizer... and buy some baby oil/lotion. It retains 13X more moisture in the skin than hand lotion when applied to damp skin. It may take a week before this goes away completely, but you should be alright after. Once you are healed try switching to a water based lubricant or KY for your solo sessions. This should help you to avoid the problem in the future.

Best of luck.

Reply:only one cure, CIRCUMCISION!

make your doctors appointment -ASAP!
Reply:GO SEE A DOCTOR, PLEASE!!!
Reply:your rubbing on the cream to hard. lol
Reply:Are you using condoms? Some guys have a latex allergy/sensitivity that can cause dry, chafed, irritated skin on the penis. Sometimes it is even as simple as your laundry detergent causing a mild allergic reaction.

Otherwise, it could be fungal, similar to a yeast infection that women get. Is it itchy or flaky? You may simply need an antifungal cream to treat the area.

Last, is there any penile discharge? That could indicate an infection, sexually transmitted or otherwise.

Your best bet would be to contact your doctor. If you don't have one or don't have health insurance, there are free clinics literally everywhere where you can get an STD check, and although it doesn't sound like an STD, it's always good to get yourself a clean bill of health.
Reply:The simple answer of course is circumcision. But the skin there or anywhere else shouldn't be all red and dry, so it's likely that you have some sort of skin trouble. Probably best to get it checked by a doctor and see what he says. Good luck.
Reply:you are probably whacking it too much. try stopping for a few days and see what happens
Reply:Even if you got circumcised, you'd still have skin. You know, the penis (the head and shaft) are also made out of skin; not plastic...

Jake is correct. Some people have sensitive skin (just like it can happen elsewhere on the body). Your choice of lubes, moisturizers, soaps, underwear, etc all affect your skin. Try alternatives, as Jake mentioned.
Reply:Dry skin problems respond well to self-care measures, such as using moisturizers and avoiding long, hot showers and baths. If you have very dry and scaly skin, your doctor may recommend you use an over-the-counter cream that contains lactic acid or lactic acid and urea.

In a more serious skin disease, such as ichthyosis or psoriasis, your doctor may prescribe prescription creams and ointments or other treatments in addition to home care.

Dry skin leads to dermatitis, which causes red, itchy skin. In these cases, treatment may include hydrocortisone-containing lotions. If your skin cracks open, your doctor may prescribe wet dressings with mildly astringent properties to contract your skin and reduce secretions and prevent infection.
