Dry, cracked, peeling skin - help?

the skin on my fingertips of only 3 fingers is dry, peeling, and cracked to the point that it is bleeding.

It is not responding to my eczema cream (it doesn't even look like eczema) so I doubt that is the problem. If i came into contact with something and am having a reaction it would be on more of my fingers -it is on my middle, ring %26amp; pinky of my right hand. I am a righty so contact reaction is possible, but odd that it is not on my pointer finger or thumb.

I've tried using hand cream/lotion but that stings %26amp; burns (its cracked bad and really raw in spots).

Any ideas of what this could be or even what lotion I could use that wouldn't burn/sting?

Dry, cracked, peeling skin - help?
use neosporin until the bleeding and cracks heal up a little. try not to wash dishes for a week or so, that will help a ton, and could even be the problem. Once the bleeding stops, use hand lotion. Try to find something that is unscented and that is still oily after you put it on. If it doesn't clear up in 2 weeks, go to a dermotoligist. they will give you creams or put you on a perscription to heal it up.
Reply:Go to the doctor, it sound pretty serious.
Reply:Try Gold Bond Hand Cream or lotion. It's remarkable stuff! I use it all the time for my really dry skin and have found it to be the best.
Reply:maybe neosporin or vaseline like ointment instead of lotions would help. at least it seems only fingers are dried, not other parts. i wonder if it has to do with health condition, too, if it's prolonging you. wear thin gloves when needed...
Reply:look into some jojoba oil or tea tree oil. both are very good for dry skin, although tea tree oil might be a bit strong but would be good if you got a light infection in your cracked skin.

read into a bit, maybe as a local phamacist if they have the pure extract or a product they would recommend with it init.
