I use to have really bad acne and my skin has red/dark spots here and there that I want to get rid of. I ordered some of this stuff from ebay that contains Arbutin:

Looks promising, but wikipedia claims that Arbutin may carry a cancer risk. What I want to know is if I would be able to apply this cream to cover my entire face overnight or would that be over doing it? Is it just too risky? If so, what would be tghe most effective, safe skin bleaching product I can get? Thanks.
How much skin bleach is bad for you?
Use lemon juice, it takes time, but I remember getting pretty light with it. The problem is that when summer comes back I get tanned all over again, so if you're looking for permanant results, you might want to look into laser resurfacing (which can lighten dark spots but not the entire face). Don't go with skin products that contain hydroquinone. They must be used indefinitely and discontinued use could leave your skin looking dark in an unnatural way.
Reply:The truth is that any (or most) of the skin bleaches that do contain products that work well enough to bleach your skin contain chemicals that have been banned by most countries. You're going to be putting yourself at a risk later on in life, but for the time being no, it won't be bad for you. If you're only using it for minor spots you should be fine.
