I have had zits/bad skin for two years now, is there any home remedy or product you recommend?

I'm currently using this cream prescibed by my dermatologist and some pills. I want to have clear skin by start of school!

I have had zits/bad skin for two years now, is there any home remedy or product you recommend?
you could use a product that helps it go away!
Reply:If you cannot get a perscription by your doctor for Doxycycline then I would use Murad skin care for Acne. I have used Proactive but it totally just made my face worse!

I saw in a magazine and because I just wanted something or anything to work I tried it and I saw results very quickly.

I use the Mask - because Exfoliant irritates acne. Then a Serum and also the Lotion. All used for Acne.
Reply:proactive. it really works.
Reply:Try a tea tree oil soap. It's like a natural thing so you have to go to like a natural foods store or something to find it. Also just tea tree oil, but it smells terrible, so try if you can to get it with lavender. This works really well for me and I hope it does some good for you! Good Luck!!
Reply:For Acne sufferers, chocolate does not cause breakouts, rather it is the sugar that causes it. Eat dark chocolate or none at all.

In addition to sugary foods, greasy and/or oily foods can worsen acne. A word about nuts...dont eat too much of them. While they are good for yer skin, they contain oil which in excess can cause breakouts. I hav had the experience.

Carbohydrates that are burned quickly in the body (highly processed carbohydrates) worsen acne too. Instead of cold cereal, eat old-fashioned oatmeal, hot wheat cereal, etc. Hot cereals should be cheaper than cold cereals, by the way. Dont eat too much pizza, pasta, crackers, chips, white bread etc.

Eat bright, intense colored fruits and veggies. Get enough sleep. Dont apply pressure to skin. Wash face twice a day (in the morning and after dinner.) Stay hydrated. I drink a glass of liquid at meals and between meals.

I myself used a dermatolgist prescription pills, ointment and all; but not anymore, thanks to these guide lines I found in the library book below.
Reply:Honey, try liquid Dial Antibacterial soap. My aunt's dermatologist told her son to use it and she told me it works-AND IT DOES! I have been having such a hard time with break outs lately until I started that! If you do not have very oily skin-u may need to moisturize after washing because it does have a drying effect. My skin is combination (oily in the T-zone and normal everywhere else). I moisturize with St. Ives Collagen and Elastin after washing every morning and every night with the Dial liquid soap and my skin looks WONDERFUL now!!!!! You can get these at your local dollar stores, walmart, or drug store for next to nothing! Try it! GOOD LUCK! =)
Reply:I had bad skin on one side of my face for about a year. Try cutting out wheat products such as bread and pasta, some types of alcohol. You can get wheat free versions of pasta. This really helped me as my skin mainly breaks out when I eat wheat now.

I also use a facial oil called "oh no, oh yes" from a natural website called comfort and joy. www.comfortandjoy.co.uk

Rub this in quite well and it seems to help minimise spots. You probably think an oil sounds strange to use but its not greasy and you only need a very small amount.

You could also try using organic make up. Theres a website called www.theremustbeabetterway.com which does organic foundations which are lighter than normal ones and don't clog pores so much.

I would seriously try giving up wheat for a month and see if you notice the difference by the end of it. If you ever feel bloated it helps stop this too.
Reply:if your using medicine from the dermatologist then u should keep using it... i am also taking medicine and using cream for my acne, and its working..dont give up..it takes time...dont use proactiv because it doesnt work...
