I have really dry skin on my back so dry i feel it crack, what do i do?
First see a dermatologist. But until you can get in a have something you could try. My son has eczema and his skin on his toes crack very badly. What I do is soak him in a bath for 20 min to let the skin get hydrated, the I wash him with Cetaphil skin cleanser, Then I towel dry him and immediatly put baby oil on his skin, Put vaseline over the cracks for extra hydration. Hope it works hun, it works wonders for my son.
Reply:There is a new product by Oil of Olay and it is a body lotion you use in the shower. I like it. Try that. But it sounds like you need some medical help too. I'd go see a dermatologist if I were you. They have prescription shampoos and lotions that might help you better than the over the counter stuff.
Reply:apply baby oil and your favorite lotion always during day and before you go to sleep.
Reply:None of my business, but have you seen a Dermotologist?
Reply:Well, have you seen a dermatologist? you didnt mention it.. what about petroleum jelly...??? Apply it and cotton shirts or cloths are good for people with allergies if its one. Check out a chinese pharmacy in your area, they have various ointment that may help.
Reply:How many showers a day are you taking? If you take more then one you could be washing the natural oils your skin is producing off. Try cutting back if you take more then one, other then that definately see a dermatologist, it sounds painful. I have dry skin during the winter but applying lotion every day and using extra moisturizer usually takes care of the problem. Have you thought about switching your laundry detergent/fabric softner?
Reply:I can't stop recommening this to people. The best solution is COCOA BUTTER LOTION!!!!
