Alt Med for Skin Yeast Infection?

I have a skin yeast infection under my breasts, in one under arm, the crease between my thighs and genital area (luckily NOT in my vagina) and the back of my knees.

I know it is a yeast infection, it has been looked at numourous times by my doc.

I just had a stem cell transplant over the summer. I am on about day +170. I am on immunosuppressants, and anit biotics, anti virals, and anit fungal as prophalactics. I am also on prednisone to control gvhd.

The anti fungal I am on is vfend(vorconozol). It is preventing an internal fungal infection, but doing nothing for the skin infection.

I have been advised that diflucan would much better treat the infection, but they dont want to switch my anti fungal because diflucan is not as accurate at preventing internal infections, which could be lethal for me at this point.

I am using lotrimin cream and rx nystatin powder under orders of my doc.

However, due to the prednisone, my infection isnt healing like it should.

Alt Med for Skin Yeast Infection?
I totally agree with all of these suggestions here, very good advice from everyone. I can't possibly imagine fruit free low fat yogurt with live acidophilus and bifidus cultures causing yeast as it is a yeast preventative. It's loaded with probiotics which replace those good antibodies killed off by the antibiotics. Just don't take them within at least two hours of each other. Antibiotics are very immune system boosting. Also a major note is to be careful what you are washing your clothing in some detergents especially those containing bleach and the use of bleach itself causes yeast to grow. A key place that you see these effects is anywhere the undergarments rub the skin in the creased areas, under the breasts, groin and crotch especially. Check out your local health food market for safer alternatives. My wife and I both use the GSE and Pao d'arco for all manner of fungal infections. My wife works for and cleans for a doctor and is always coming into contact with something. As for under your arms deodorants from a company named "Alvera" out of Kerrville, Texas. We have cancer patients use this product all the time and it has been suggested by oncologists as a safe product for them to use.
Reply:Grapefruit Seed Extract (grapeFRUIT not grape - it is a common mistake) is a natural yeast treatment. Dilute 10 drops of liquid GSE in about 6 oz of water. Moisten cotton ball and wipe on yeast affected areas. You can use it stronger if you want, but always dilute as it is harsh undiluted. Can also be used as a douche or gargle if necessary. You only need to use externally if not an internal yeast issue, but there could be. If so, you can take internally, but make sure that grapefruit products aren't counter-indicated with the other things you are taking. I have used it for yeast, and am amazed at how quickly it deals with it.

I'm sure someone has already told you, but just in case. Delete all sugars, especially refined, from the diet as they feed yeast.
Reply:Yogurt, with live cultures in it. Both by eating and rubbing it on to the infected skin, Keep area very clean and dry, under your breast, fold a pillow case to keep the skin from getting warm and moist. Good Luck.
Reply:Try some Pau D Arco. PAU D'ARCO is a natural grown herb that is derived from the inner bark of the Tabebuia Avellanedae or Tabebuia Impetiginosa (Taheebo) tree grown in South America. Pau d'Arco Tea has been used for many centuries by the Indio tribes of South America. The ancient Incas and Aztecs were probably the first to be familiar with the herbs healing powers. This discovery has led to an experimentation on people who have yeast or mold allergy, the assumption being that these same properties may discourage Candida Albicans {a common yeast} long suspected to be the causative factor in food allergy. Another researcher, Dr, Robert Owens, has found Candida Albicans to be correlated with "Chemical Hypersensitivity and other immunological-related disorders." The hope has been raised that not only might Pau D'Arco control the yeast and mold allergy, but also many other sensitivities as well.

Dr. Jeffrey Andersen, M.D., a Mill Valley, California health practitioner, treated a woman with a difficult yeast infection. "Two hours after using the tea as a douche the vaginal yeast infection was cleared up nicely," he says. Dr. Anderson's patients now begin drinking Pau D'Arco tea-1/2 to 1 cup tea per day, increasing to a maintenance dose of 4 cups per day in approximately 1 month.

Those who are using Pau D'Arco report that sometimes the symptoms become worse initially, This is attributed to "yeast die-off." The theory is that as the yeast die and are filtered into the bloodstream they cause allergic reactions. These reactions last only a short time.
Reply:Tea tree oil cures a yeast infection. Might have to dilute it if putting on skin, with olive oil. I have used this and it works!!!! It is a natural antibacterial, antifungal... good luck.

Colloidal silver (CS) must use 99.99% or better silver in demineralized, distilled water. Concentrations of silver salts such as silver nitrate if introduced into the bloodstream (via nasal inhalation or injection or eye drops or drinking high concentrations of such mixtures) are known to cause argyria (an incurable skin discoloration condition) and this is why your water must start out as pure as possible (no other minerals, chlorine, iodine, fluoride, etc). If topically applied a 5 to 7 ppm CS shall kill yeast on contact.

Silver was used in photography because silver reacts with light. As such silver oxidizes quite easily. Bottled CS water is typically secured in air-tight glass bottles of a dark color to keep light from ruining the CS solution, however the CS won't keep for very long, and it is better to make it and quickly use it yourself to insure you are getting what you want.

Ozone chemically is O-three-minus, a gas. As such it is an oxidizing agent that has anti-microbial, and anti-fungal properties. It acts in a way that is similar to peroxide to fight infections. Pharmaceutical companies and their friendly North American medical minions argue against using ozone medically saying that it is a powerful oxidizing agent, however research has shown that natural mitigating factors are found in blood and other tissues that temper ozone's action on the body. If it were that powerful, substances such as ozone and peroxide would burn like acids right through tissues, but do not do so, and instead just kill pathogens and remove discoloration / stains / bad odors. Countries such as Germany, Japan, Cuba, etc, have clinics where pure medical grade ozone gas is injected directly into the blood stream at a careful slow rate. Various of these ozone treatments have been reported to have successfully treat HIV AIDS, and many other conditions.

Ozone creation is done via a machine. The machine will typically bubble the generated ozone through an air-stone similar to those bubbler pumps used in fish tanks to oxygenate the water for tropical fish. Cold water holds ozone better. Ozone dissipates within a few minutes from water and so must be generated, then the water quickly used.

Many places use ozone combined with filtration to perform water purification for their drinking water supply. Typical consumer water ozonators cost between US$130 to US$600. The materials such as the pump materials, tubing or the bubbler stones used in the machines must not react with ozone. Stainless steel, silicone, or certain forms of glass might be used in this regard. Two popular ways of generating ozone are corona-discharge (CD) using just an air supply (consumer grade), and the other is to take pure oxygen and expose it to a bright ultraviolet light (medical grade). The protective ozone layer in the upper layers of earth's atmosphere is supported by oxygen exposure to UV rays from the sun.

Home made projects published on the internet explain that the experimenter had an electrical engineering background and was able to take a 5 to 15 kilovolt neon sign transformer, rectify the AC current, and expose carefully glass-spaced discharge electrodes to ionize a supply of air, then pump or blow the generated ozone through an output pipe or hose. Such a CD generation of ozone also ionizes other elements of the air supply such as nitrogen, and as such is not worthy as a source of medial grade ozone that can be directly injected into the blood stream.

Internet sources indicate that ozonating water is more powerful than boiling it when it comes to killing off pathogens. As such users of home consumer water ozonators use the freshly output water to wash meats, vegetables, salad greens, and so on prior to cooking or serving the food for meals. Medical ozone can be used to ozonate olive oil to create a powerful medicinal lotion for cuts.

Once you have a CS maker device, or a water ozonator machine, you can maintain a healthy life style by using the equipment in daily routine.

The thrust of the Beck Protocol for health and wellness is to have these various machines handy, and use them to promote wellness.
