Alright I used a new acne cream and it dried me up in three days...I have since stopped using it. I have been putting lotion on my face and have been using petroleum jelly also. The skin is really dry with, like large pieces. Its not like flakes or scales they are like wrinkles that wont go away! What should I do, just wait for it to peal itself? Should I keep using the petroleum jelly? What do you recommend?
Dry Skin HELP!!?
Make sure you are getting enough water. Lotions that dry your face up may also dry your body out and you may need a bit more fluid to help yur skin get back. Petroleum jelly is not especially good for your skin and it can clog your pores, taking you back to the original problem. Let it pass. It will.

Reply:I use Aloe Vera gel/lotion and it works very well on my dry skin.
Reply:no jelly, but get some jergen lotion, i have had much success with a similar issue
Reply:Exfoliate gently with a warm wet washcloth, then use a gentle moisturizer like Eucerin. If this doesn't help, you should see your doctor. You're probably just going to look kind of silly for a few days! And don't go overboard with the acne cream next time!
Reply:OK umm don't use petroleum jelly any more it attracts dirt and it's not really good for the skin on your face. i recommend using st. Ives collagen elastin. it works really good in dry skin. wash your face then put the lotion on. give it two to three days
Reply:Maybe try body or face oil to start with then purchase a good product to continue using. Go to FacialAdvice.com for more on this topic.
